Overdrive Gearbox Conversion

My car should be fitted with an overdrive gearbox (hence the O at the end of the chassis number). However, at some point a previous owner has fitted a standard gearbox, probably following a failure of the original one. So I have sourced a fully reconditioned gearbox fitted with the correct A Type overdrive unit. This is the correct 3 synchro type gearbox fitted to the TR3 rather than the 4 synchro version fitted to TR4’s. However, it has an early type TR2 overdrive cover which only operates overdrive in 4th gear (rather than 2nd, 3rd and 4th) so this will need changing over to the later type. It also has the correct TR3 short gear lever rather than the longer TR4 type.
